TITLE: Being seen
Laura & Miel are a couple of professional dancers I discovered during a live dance performance night in Paris. That evening, I asked them to become my models. Models for what? How? When? I had no answers to those questions. Except my friends, I had never photographed a couple before. It was simply a feeling. I knew I had to ask.
Today, I understand that, at that moment, I deeply needed to capture love. And that is exactly what this photography is about : love, sharing, and trust.
Laura & Miel didn’t know me. They hadn’t noticed me that night, yet they chose to come and trust my vision. So this image is not only about two people in a frame, it is about human connection, about strangers crossing paths, choosing to share something real, choosing to trust one another with openness and vulnerability.
In a world where people pass by one another so quickly, I believe that truly meeting each other may be one of the greatest powers we still have.
In the end, this shoot was never about being looked at. It was about being seen.
