TITLE: Strangers on Both Sides

As part of a university intercultural communication and photography course, I traveled to rural Rajasthan, India, led by two professors with deep roots in the region. We visited schools and NGOs across the state, meeting children and learning about their lives, their education, and the challenges they faced daily.
During one school visit, I turned around and found several children pressed against the gate, many eyes watching us with an unguarded interest. We had come to learn about their world, and they were equally fascinated by ours. To them, we were the strangers. Curiosity, as it turns out, has no language barrier.
