TITLE: Lighthouse
Made at dawn, standing in the water as the first light appeared over the Baltic Sea.
The air was still, and the sea was almost motionless. Only a slow rhythm of water remained.
The lighthouse felt like a fixed point in time, holding its place while everything around it kept moving.
AUTHOR: Alena Fiadotava (Poland)
Hello, my name is Alena. Let me say a few words about my passion - photography.
I remember when I was young, spending my summers in the countryside where my grandparents lived. Our house had many black and white photos, portraits on the wall, and albums. It was important to collect the images to tell our family's story and preserve it for other generations.
Photography became a main part of my life. That gives me the opportunity to create and express myself. It is my passion. The camera allows for capturing color, light, and objects, but the photographer decides what is important, and how to combine it to create something unique that is related to the moment or describes atmosphere and mood.
For me, the most important thing is the opportunity to explore different locations, nature, and be in different weather conditions. I enjoy shooting landscapes, fine art. I admire minimalism, monochrome, long exposure. My favorite time for shooting is in the early morning. The top locations are Norway, Iceland, France.
Thank you!
