TITLE: New Synagogue Berlin
New synagogue Berlin photographed at sunrise in extreme backlighting and deliberate overexposure.
AUTHOR: Thomas Ernst (Germany)
Photography has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old. After a few detours, I turned it into my profession in 1991 and have been working freelance since 1993. I'm still a photography enthusiast and love taking pictures. Like probably all photography lovers, I always wanted to work with a Leica. I fulfilled this wish in 2025. Since then, I've been roaming Berlin with it, capturing cityscapes that blend classic and modern styles.
My second great passion is portrait photography. I like to photograph my models in simple sets and with soft lighting. This creates a focused and minimalist working atmosphere. These sessions are always like meeting for coffee: strong, black, and intense.
