Craig S. Glass began AmbrotypeVisuals.com in 2022 after a lifelong interest in the railroad led him to realize that he suddenly had a digital photography portfolio. Encouraged by family, fellow railfans, Instagram, and even railroad crew themselves, he learned editing skills and self-describes his work as “Where Fine Art Meets the Rails” in order to promote the intersection of artistic presentation with heavy machinery. Recently, his capture of three American Bicentennial-clad model trains was featured by SmithsonianMag in an article depicting just fifteen railroads worldwide. Now, he has branched out to capture non-railroad scenes of all kinds around his adopted South Carolina, especially the University of South Carolina, and beyond. Craig is a native of Deerfield, IL and now resides in Columbia, SC.
