TITLE: Tibetan Awakenings

One's introspective of Tibet. 56 km of kora with a backpack on 5760m altitude. Cultural codes and world's heritage. Social karma.


In September 2025, I completed my first kora, a 56-kilometer walk around Mount Kailash in Tibet, tapping into answers that changed my perspective not only on myself but also on my life as a whole - classic story that happens to those who go to Tibet or simply travel around the world. I was naive hoping that the curtain on the mystery of the universe will open at least for a couple of mm, stunning me with its immense depth and power. For three weeks I was travelling through Tibet, and visited 9 cities & towns on my way to Kailash, writing down my dreams. Taken with a Fujifilm Xt-5.

Daria Sharova received her professional education in London at Chelsea College of Arts, The University of the Arts London, where she earned a BA and MA in Architecture and Design. She held senior positions at Oasis, a leading British fashion brand, and the design agency Dalziel and POW, as well as several architectural firms, where she led major projects and rebranded flagship stores for renowned brands. In 2016, she won first place in the international Retail Design Week competition in London. While still a student, Daria organised exhibitions, which she also participated in as an artist. Daria Sharova has been involved in photography since 2010. since then, it could be considered a hobby, a means of satisfying her own creative urges. but over time, it has resonated with viewers. since 2015, her photographs have adorned the interiors of private residences, and private commissions have been accruing. photography has become
more than just a hobby. she develops an entire philosophy, which she embodies in her works. photography is not simply a capture of the surrounding reality, but the
photographer's subjective relationship with the object in front of the lens. all the emotions, experiences, and moods of the photographer are concentrated in their
works, which can be felt by any viewer just by looking at them. The author always presents her work through the lens of her unique way of perceiving the world, namely, her hyper sensitivity to external triggers(sensory processing sensitivity (sps)).according to Daria, "in short, sps is aheightened sensitivity to sounds, smells, tastes, visuals, and other people. it's a high level of detail, the ability to understand the difference between a whole spectrum of colors and feelings, textures, and materials. it's the moment when you begin to listen and understand that all of human life is jazz, constantly playing around you. it's a high level of intuition, the ability to recognise and identify people's feelings on a deep level."
