TITLE: Art of Concealment
This series represents a new creative direction in my work, focusing on the sophisticated language of artistic editorials. Together with the model, we aimed to portray a balance between undeniable strength and a subtle, intimate softness—most clearly captured in the frames featuring her cat. The core of this project is the interplay between the subject and the light, which was meticulously sculpted to evoke a sense of mystery and Noir-inspired darkness. This series has gained recognition and was published in international magazines such as Imirage, Edith, and Darkly.
AUTHOR: Janusz Szwed (Poland)
My journey with photography began nearly 20 years ago in the world of reportage. Those two decades of working in the field taught me how to observe people and capture genuine, unforced emotions. Five years ago, I decided to bring that experience into the studio, specializing in commercial feminine portraiture. My mission is to help women rediscover their self-worth and beauty through the lens.
At the beginning of 2026, I took another step forward, expanding my work into artistic editorials. In these projects, I combine my technical background from years of reportage with a new, creative vision. This path has already led to my first international publications in magazines such as IMirage, LeDesire, Vigour, and Darkly. For me, photography is a continuous process of transformation and a search for the emotional truth in every frame.
