TITLE: The Moment Between Thoughts
The series is created in Berlin and explores the moment between movement and stillness—the instant before something comes into being. I work with people who are willing to enter this in-between state. Using long exposures, guided blur, and transitional light, I examine the space between two thoughts: the moment when control loosens, presence becomes visible, and consciousness takes shape.
AUTHOR: Lars Walter (Germany)
Lars Walter is a freelance photographer and artist based in Berlin. His work focuses primarily on artistic portrait photography, as well as independent projects that explore identity, perception, and inner states. A central theme of his practice is the “in-between” – those quiet, undefined moments between movement and stillness, between outward appearance and inner experience.
His visual language is reduced, focused, and emotionally precise. He mainly works with people who are willing to enter this moment of openness and develops photographic series that do not merely depict, but reveal attitude, presence, and an inner truth.
