TITLE: Between Two Waters: Fragments of Frozen Rivers

This series was shot in the rivers of Montana during the harsh winter temperatures. The work explores the transitory state of water, that delicate boundary between liquid and solid, between movement and stillness. Each photograph freezes a fleeting and ephemeral moment of ice formation, in perpetual evolution. Ice, a living and shifting matter, reveals itself here as a metaphor for time: it is born, transforms, and disappears, taking with it the trace of its passage.

Vincent Bourdineaud is a French winemaker and winegrower originally from Bordeaux. He nurtured his passion for photography during his travels in Southeast Asia, New Zealand, rural France, and the American West. He spent three years exploring the vast wilderness of Montana and now resides in Oregon. His photographs are inspired by observing nature in its raw states of disturbance and moments of stillness. His work falls into three genres: landscape photography, minimalist photography, and abstract photography.
