TITLE: Static flow

"Everything flows" ("Pánta rheî") Heraclitus once said. Yet, sometimes it seems that some things stay the same forever. Just like a stream that we don't know where it comes from, nor where it's headed, but moves nimbly between fixed things that we think we know and that remain the same, year after year. And in this constant we find the meaning of each of our lives: an inexorable flow of time that permeates every day's situations.

I was born in Milan in 1975, but I have always lived among the wonderful landscapes of the Dolomites. I'm a designer, but for over 20 years I've been practicing photography trying to explore the meaning of framing because I'm certain that what you see in an image is less important than what the photographer willingly excludes. A photograph doesn't show reality, it only shows what the photographer decides to show you. Every image has the ability to tell a story, and I believe the real appeal lies in a photographer's ability to forever freeze a fragment of the time in which things are immersed.
