TITLE: Immovable

Immovable explores the Swiss Alps as both a physical landscape and an emotional terrain rather than a simple geographic destination. Photographed near Interlaken and Oeschinensee, the environment is rendered in monochrome to reduce visual distraction and emphasize form, scale, and atmosphere.
By reducing the images to light, shadow, and structure, the familiar Alpine landscape begins to appear suspended in time. Subtle shifts in weather, distance, and perspective become visible, while the mountains themselves remain constant—an immense geological presence against which time quietly unfolds.
Human traces appear only occasionally: a path cutting through the slopes, distant settlements embedded within the mountains, or a small boat crossing the lake. These elements introduce scale and fragility, revealing a quiet negotiation between human presence and a landscape shaped by forces far older and larger than ourselves.
Movement is present, but never decisive; occupation is visible, but never complete. Within the vast scale of the Swiss Alps, human activity appears temporary, while the mountains remain enduring and unmoved.
Rather than documenting a location, Immovable approaches the Alpine environment as an archetypal space shaped by silence, scale, and duration—inviting reflection on the fragile position of human life within the larger permanence of the Earth.
