TITLE: Human Measure
Human Measure examines how the vast, spherical architecture of La Bourse du Commerce shapes and reflects human presence. By distilling space and human presence to their minimal forms, silhouettes drift like celestial bodies — small yet luminous against the monumental interior. Their movements reveal moments of alignment, isolation, and quiet tension. The series invites viewers to consider how built structures condition human interactions, and how human presence becomes a point of measure — infusing the space itself with life, signification, and purpose.
AUTHOR: Theo Michael (France)
I am Théo Michael, a Paris-based photographer exploring the dialogue between architecture, human presence, and imagination.
I capture urban structures and the silhouettes that inhabit them. Architecture can dictate patterns of behaviour, shaping how people move and exist within it. Yet human presence can conform to or free itself from these codes. In this tension, poetic spaces emerge where viewers become active participants, imagining their own narratives.
