TITLE: Katabasis
Katabasis—literally “descent”—is a journey into the Greek underworld of myth. In this black-and-white collection, each image becomes an echo of the deities, spirits, and shadows that dwell in Hades. These figures are not portrayed literally; they emerge as impressions in darkness, layered silhouettes, and shifting textures.
The series moves downward, image by image, toward the stillness and mystery at the heart of the underworld. Through mood, abstraction, and symbolic form, Katabasis invites the viewer to wander through a realm where myth, dream, and inner landscapes converge.
