TITLE: Written In Water

In Written in Water, the shoreline becomes a site of inscription. Waves advance and withdraw, leaving behind fleeting traces on black sand—marks that resemble language yet refuse permanence. Seen from above, the surf forms a shifting field of light against darkness, where gesture replaces text and rhythm stands in for syntax.

This series investigates the tension between presence and erasure. Each image records a moment when natural forces briefly organize themselves into visual order before dissolving again. The photographs hold that interval still, transforming impermanent motion into a contemplative surface.

By removing the horizon and conventional scale, Written in Water abstracts the landscape into something both elemental and cosmic. The ocean is no longer merely a subject but an active agent—writing, revising, and undoing its own compositions. What remains is not documentation, but a meditation on time, entropy, and the quiet authority of natural processes.
