TITLE: Komorebi

In the series 'Komorebi,' the curtain becomes a canvas for a perpetual coming and going. The sun, filtered through leaves, projects ever-new, fleeting shadow images with the passing of clouds—a silent choreography of light and dark.
This interplay serves as an immediate metaphor for life itself: a continual flow between clarity and ambiguity, between a captured image and a gentle fade. The work is an exercise in mindfulness for the often-overlooked yet fulfilling moments of existence. It directs our gaze to the simple and the ephemeral, framing it as a quiet philosophy of appreciation.

After training in photography and an internship at Bayerischer Rundfunk, I worked for several years as a camera assistant. Over time, my visual language shifted toward abstraction. My work begins with reality and explores what can emerge when subject, perception, and camera interact. I work with Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and developed my own technique, Remodel by Camera Movement (RCM), the basis of my Photographic Lyrical Abstraction. In my Emergographies, everyday things can develop an identity of their own. Together, they form my Photographic Wonder Room.
