TITLE: Magnetic Fluids
Magnetic Fluids explores ferrofluids reacting to magnetic fields, transforming physical forces into a visual language. These abstract black-and-white compositions emerge from real phenomena, where matter self-organizes under invisible constraints. The images evoke biological systems, cartography, and microscopic landscapes, revealing a fragile balance between structure, chaos, and transformation.
AUTHOR: Gaëtan Changeur (France)
Photographer and plasticien artist living in the Paris region. Gaetan Changeur graduated from the EFET school of Photography in Paris and has been practicing photography since the 2000s.
Passionate about black and white, he devoted the beginning of his career to creative and intuitive projects based on the rayogram technique, inspired by the artist Man Ray. Then gis fondness for cooking leads him stage everyday foods in an original and unexpected way.
A first series of photographs entitled "Culinary Compressions" won over the public and launched his first exhibitions.
From 2015, in Artistic Residence in Nice, he has been working on video making.
Fascinated by the movements of liquids, he then focused his creative research on fluids and their changes of state through an exploration of frame in its most ephemeral from.
A new series of photographs entitled "Liquid Soul" thus explored a word of chimerical creatures where vibrant textures emerge organically.
The unique creations of Gaetan Changeur are close to a primitive art plunget into the heart of matter.
