TITLE: Dawn on Uros Islands

This image was captured at dawn in the floating Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca in Peru. The traditional boat in the foreground is made from the same totora reeds used to construct the manmade islands. The boat takes the form of a grey puma - "Titicaca" in the Aymara language - from which the lake derives its name.
