TITLE: Luminarias de San Bartolomé de Pinares
The day before the San Antón festival in San Bartolomé de Pinares, the locals gather around large bonfires to carry out the ritual of purifying animals that dates back to the 18th century, and which was intended to protect them from epidemics. After being blessed by the priest, they begin a kind of 'procession', each rider with his horse through the streets of the town, passing or crossing each of the bonfires they find.
