TITLE: Reportage #15 Italy. Trans Sex Workers

The image was taken a few months ago in Migliarino, Italy. It marks the beginning of a bigger project on sex workers in Italy. I'm currently travelling across Italy documenting sex workers both on the streets and in their private houses. It happens to be quite a delicate topic and it is extremely hard to get them to agree to be photographed as many of them have families in their native countries, especially women from Nigeria. The award would mean visibility and visibility would hopefully mean people helping me out financing the rest of the project.

Marco Di Coscio is a Tuscany photographer based in Amsterdam working in London and New York and travelling worldwide. With a Bachelor degree in Direction of Photography at the London College of Communication and a Master degree in Art Direction at the Academy of Art of Florence his work spans from documentary projects to fashion and corporate.

He has fifteen years of experience working in the field of photography and his main focus is portraiture. He is a committed professional with an everlasting desire to master his craft.
