TITLE: The White Heron’s Flight Through Tears of Pollution
In a rapidly changing world, the white heron finds itself forced to flee waters polluted by human hands. Once, the waters reflected the stars with crystal clarity, but today they carry the weight of pollutions. This bird’s flight is not just a journey—it is a silent cry telling the story of nature’s struggle to survive amid ongoing pollution.

Dr. Mahdi Gholoum
I am Dr. Mahdi Gholoum, a member of the Environmental Health Department in the State of Kuwait, and a passionate environmental photographer dedicated to documenting the beauty and diversity of our natural surroundings. I work in the field of environmental health, where I contribute to monitoring and analyzing environmental issues that affect human health and the well-being of ecosystems.
Through both my fieldwork and photography, I strive to raise public awareness about the importance of environmental protection and highlight the challenges facing marine and terrestrial ecosystems, especially in the context of climate change and urban expansion.
I believe that imagery can powerfully convey a message, which is why I use photography as an educational and awareness tool to inspire positive environmental behavior. My goal is to continue combining my scientific work with my artistic passion to serve the community and contribute to building a more sustainable environmental future for Kuwait and the region.
