TITLE: The meanders of Saint-Michel

The meanders of Mont Saint-Michel caught in the ice.

It is very rare to have negative temperatures several days in a row by the sea. On this occasion, I went to take a picture of the meanders filled with water at dawn before the arrival of visitors, and before the disappearance of frost on the grass or footprints. Being the first to arrive, I was able to place my tripod in the axis of Mont Saint-Michel.

An iconic and mystical photo in this place full of history that will become increasingly rare with global warming.

Photo taken on January 14, 2025 at 8:39 am and 56 seconds once the light is sufficiently present, at 70mm f/13 and 60 seconds at ISO 64 to reveal the slight veil of icing mist present on the scene
