TITLE: Etna nighscape
Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Between June and July 2024, inside the Voragine Crater of the Etna volcano, a new volcanic cone was formed with continuous explosions, an activity called spattering. After a month the explosive activity continued, and the pieces of lava that jumped out had created a double explosive vent. For about two months tourists could get to the edge of two of the four summit craters, the Voragine crater and the Bocca Nuova crater, from there they could admire the eruption from a distance of about 200-300 meters.
