TITLE: Joshua Chill
A surprise spring snowstorm created an unexpected landscape in the Joshua Forest at Lee Flats in Death Valley for Leslie Robins and her camera. After an unusual series of storms in California in the spring of 2023 many of the typical photography locations in Death Valley were unreachable due to road damage. Out for a drive to explore the park the weather turned cold and it began to snow. This image was captured in the midst of that snowstorm, with the Joshua trees standing proud in the snow.
