TITLE: Metamorphosis
The photograph “Metamorphosis” was taken using wet plate collodion technique.
In the photo, “Teriantropes” (sculptures by Julia Glombiowska) are visible next to the models. The title metamorphosis suggests the possibility of mutual transformation of the figures visible in the photo. It remains a game of the imagination whether the sculpture - a work of art transforms into a human being or whether it is the women who transform into an artistic artifact.

Maciej Pastuszka
I use analog photographic methods in my work. In particular, the 19th century “wet plate” collodion technique. Allowing to create unique silver images on glass plates. Often “enhanced” with artifacts created by a chemical process unchanged for more than 170 years.
I am fascinated by people. My favorite photographic subjects are portrait and nude. Using the historical photographic method, I create contemporary images full of simplicity. I capture the emotion and beauty of the body dressed in light and shadow.
I work in my own photographic studio “Atelier Fortuna” in Lublin.
I participate in plan airs and photographic competitions
My works were presented at individual and group exhibitions.
I am a surgeon by profession.
