Monica De Marinis was born in Rome in 1978. She graduated in photography at the I.E.D. (European Institute of Design) in 2001, winning a photography competition organized by Sub Dued (fashion sector). She has collaborated with the German newspapers Augsburger Allgemeine and Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. From 2001 to today she has participated in various collective and personal exhibitions. In 2009 she exhibited her works at the “Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival”, in 2010 and 2011 in the greenhouse of the Auditorium. In 2016 she began collaborating with the art gallery “InQuadro” and the cultural association “InArte” curated by Fabio Uzzo, with whom she participated in various exhibitions including in 2018 “Roma e l’acqua” a collective photography and painting exhibition with publication in the catalog. In 2023, with the same cultural association, she exhibited together with seven other photographers at the “Senza Confini” exhibition inside the Palazzo Torlonia di Ceri. In 2015, he ranked among the one hundred and twenty semi-finalists of the “Premio Arte” competition organized by the magazine “Arte” of Cairo Editore with publication in the magazine. In 2019, she arrived among the twenty semi-finalists of the Instagram competition “Romamor”, an online contest organized by the page “Cosa vedere a Roma” with online publication. Between 2016 and onwards, she participated in various high-end fairs of high craftsmanship. She exhibits ten works in a solo exhibition within the “Bucolico” music and art project in the “Maison San Filippo” venue in Rome. She participates at the end of May 2024 and in December 2025 in the photographic group exhibition “Il Mostro 19” and "Il mostro 20" curated by Luciano Corvaglia and the Tevere Art Gallery in Rome. A paper catalogue will be published and can also be viewed online on the gallery’s website. She is among the finalists at the Langhe photo festival 2024, participating in a group exhibition within the festival. She passes the first selection of the Urban Photo Awards 2024, exhibiting a work in the Post Office Palace inTrieste within the exhibition "Urban Unveils the City and its secrets".
