TITLE: The Descends

I am a film lens designer by profession and a filmmaker by heart. Since childhood, I have been obsessed with imagery. I love the drama drawn by light. I was born in the Czech Republic. After high school, I worked as a camera technician for Panavision at Barrandov Studios. One year later, I moved to Munich for my internship at ARRI Rental, where I transitioned from general intern through lens technician to optomechanical lens designer. I stand behind the design of DNA LF and HEROES lenses. Recently, I designed a lens for Daniel Kanes (CEO of Atlas Lens Co.). And currently working on another exciting projects.

I love film material, and all my photos are captured on it (Exclusively). The thrilling moment of exposition and a certain amount of fear to get what you would like at the end is irreplaceable by digital. When you are looking at the film strip, every single frame is proof of a particular moment. The frame is real and just in front of your eyes. It is not a copy of an electrical signal but an actual conserved reaction in the emulsion from that specific moment of hitting the trigger.
