TITLE: Selfportait
Captured in front of Berlin’s Cube, a building made of reflections and sharp angles, this image blurs the line between subject and environment. The title *Selfportrait* raises questions: Who is being portrayed? The photographer, the architecture, or the act of observation itself?
Glass and steel mirror not only the body but also the act of seeing. In a space where surfaces multiply perspectives, the photograph becomes both a document and a dialogue—between identity and anonymity, presence and perception.
In an era shaped by self-curation and digital reflection, *Selfportrait* reclaims a physical moment in the urban landscape—quiet, grounded, and complex.
AUTHOR: Thomas Stolz (Germany)
Born in 1957 in Hamburg, I have been an enthusiastic amateur photographer since early childhood. After completing secondary school, I worked as a photo assistant at the Manfred Rieker Studio in Magstadt. I then pursued studies in law and medicine in Hamburg.
From 1998 to 2023, I practiced as a general physician in practice in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. Since 2023, I have been serving as a consulting physician for the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Hamburg.
Photography has remained a continuous part of my life, with only brief interruptions. In recent years, my focus has shifted toward street photography, with a particular interest in capturing everyday urban moments.
