TITLE: The Crowd
Huge groups of people have always scared me. The amount of noise and motion coming from every direction makes my head spin and leaves me feeling confused and overwhelmed, with a need to escape as soon as possible. As a part of my photographic journey, I’ve decided to face my fears and dive into crowded places with the intention of making some kind of a journal using my camera. It resulted in a series of anonymous crowds’ portraits made on the streets of Gdańsk.
AUTHOR: Robert Kozakiewicz (Poland)
I'm a photographer based in Gdańsk, Poland, graduate of Sopot School of Photography. I've specialized myself in ICM technique — long exposure times with intentional movements of the camera. I usually capture city of Gdańsk, where I live — its motion, architecture and forgotten, abandoned places. Photography is my way of expressing myself and exploring the endless capacity of human imagination.
