TITLE: Mystery
The Mystery series consists of three photographs made using the wet plate collodion technique. The title of the series refers to the inner world of the figures in the photo and the mystery emanating from them, as well as to the creative process capturing the photographic image in the old technique on a glass plate.
What do the faces of the depicted figures hide? The figures resemble sculpted busts, which discreetly and disturbingly signal feelings that the viewer can only guess at. Wrapped in a veil, the women stir the imagination, allow to spin conjectures without a clear answer.
But also: what secret is hidden by the creator of the photographs? It is his emotional stirrings, his imagination and experiences that take on a hidden form, taking artistic shape in the posed figures.

I use analog photographic methods in my work. In particular, the 19th century “wet plate” collodion technique. Allowing to create unique silver images on glass plates. Often “enhanced” with artifacts created by a chemical process unchanged for more than 170 years.
I am fascinated by people. My favorite photographic subjects are portrait and nude. Using the historical photographic method, I create contemporary images full of simplicity. I capture the emotion and beauty of the body dressed in light and shadow.
I work in my own photographic studio “Atelier Fortuna” in Lublin.
I participate in plan airs and photographic competitions
My works were presented at individual and group exhibitions.
I am a surgeon by profession.
