TITLE: Black Out

This series explores the intimate journey of pianist Loris Mittaz facing progressive vision loss. Entitled "Black Out," it captures key moments in his existence, conveyed through the direction of his gaze and the interplay of shadow and light.

The first portrait, with his gaze turned to the left, evokes the innocence and memories of childhood, a time when the visual world was fully accessible.

The second shot, frontal, symbolizes the darker and more arduous period of his life. It is a direct confrontation with the degenerative disability, a time when Loris must learn to navigate a world gradually fading into darkness.

Finally, the third portrait, with his gaze resolutely turned to the right, embodies acceptance and openness towards the future. The shadow is still present, but it no longer overwhelms him. It has now become an integral part of his identity, a strength with which he moves forward, enriching his perception of the world and his artistic expression.

Through these images, "Black Out" goes beyond documenting a personal reality; it offers a universal reflection on resilience, adaptation, and the ability to transform adversity into a new perspective.
