TITLE: Dualities of Introspection
This series of eight captivating black and white photographs employs a unique technique of layering two images in a single frame—one illuminated by studio light and the other revealing dynamic movement. This duality creates a powerful visual metaphor, showcasing the contrast between the outward persona shaped by societal expectations and the inner self that grapples with authentic emotions.
Each photograph invites viewers to witness the coexistence of these two faces: one projecting a polished image to the world, while the other candidly expresses deeper feelings often hidden from view. The interplay of stillness and motion enriches the narrative, encouraging a contemplation of the complexity of identity and the tension between public and private selves.
"Dualities of Introspection" aims to evoke empathy and self-reflection, prompting viewers to consider their own dualities and the emotions that lie beneath the surface.
