TITLE: Stages of grief - self-portraits
Through these photographs that I have chosen, I tell you about the phases of mourning. Art can help exorcise suffering and express a multitude of things. In 2018, I lost my 24-year-old little brother in a car accident and in 2022, my father was murdered. Both died in Niger so I had to mourn without being able to go to their funeral. This series of self-portraits tells the different phases through which I went from the announcement of death to resilience.
AUTHOR: Dialo HAMADOU (France)
A portrait photographer essentially does photography in a photo studio. I like to take photographs highlighting emotions with poetry and delicacy. I have been taking photos professionally for only a year. I was a model before becoming interested in the entire artistic process of a photographer.
