TITLE: Racing in 2024
In June 2024, I completed a photographic reportage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This black-and-white series highlights the intensity of the competition and the bond between humans and machines, set in a context rich in history and passion.
The images reveal crucial moments: the palpable tension in the pits, the focused gazes of drivers before the race, and the efficiency of mechanics under pressure. These scenes illustrate the precision and commitment required in an event where every detail matters.
Beyond the competition, this series aims to capture the unique atmosphere of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The roar of engines, the hustle of the teams, and the anticipation on the starting line are just some of the moments that bring this legendary event to life. The contrasts of black and white emphasize the timelessness of these powerful moments and give a unique depth to the emotions they evoke.
This reportage is part of my approach to portraying human stories through photography. Each shot tells a fragment of this adventure, highlighting the resilience and passion of the participants, whether they are drivers, mechanics, or team members. By choosing black and white, I wanted to offer a graphic and timeless perspective on these striking scenes, paying tribute to the unique spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
