TITLE: Loneliness Through the Streets

"Loneliness Through the Streets" is a journey through everyday life, captured through street photography. The project focuses on moments that are brief, emotional, and often unnoticed, bringing together themes that connect us all.

The man is in focus, along with his loneliness, which manifests in various contexts: an unfulfilled and unshared dream world materialized in a boat that will never sail (2R7A8222.jpg); the loneliness of an elderly man communicating solely with birds (2R7A5452_3.jpg); the bond between a mother and daughter who, despite their closeness, remain in solitude (2R7A8920.jpg); a woman in a sushi bar whose gaze reveals loneliness, even in the midst of a crowd (2R7A3553-3.jpg); the solitude of an artist, absorbed and merged with his art (2R7A1379.jpg); a lone wanderer, whose poverty contrasts sharply with the glamorous storefronts (2R7A0147.jpg); an elderly woman at the market, standing alone among the goods, her lonely gaze wandering (2R7A1548_2.jpg); the man with the small cat, where the lack of interaction between them creates a subtle yet poignant tension, emphasising their shared solitude (R0007694_2_bw.jpg).

Shot over the course of 2024 in several countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Japan, Germany), these images are more than snapshots of the street; they are an intimate exploration of loneliness, wonder, connection, and impermanence, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the intricate beauty of the human condition

My journey with photography began during my high school years, sparked by a curiosity that quickly grew into a passion. Although I pursued a degree in law and began my career in that field, photography remained close to my heart. After graduating, I spent two years as a freelance photographer, immersing myself in the art form.

For several years leading up to 2022, photography played a much smaller role in my life. However, that all changed in 2023 during a transformative trip to Japan. The vibrant culture, serene landscapes, and unique urban textures rekindled my passion for photography. Inspired, I started rediscovering the joy of capturing the world through a lens.

Since then, photography has become an inseparable part of my life again. Japan holds a special place in my story, symbolizing my reconnection with photography.
