TITLE: Mr. Chap

A collection of photographs taken in several cities in the Czech Republic in 2023-2025 in the largest Czech circus, Humberto. It captures a Polish artist named Janusz Russek (60 years old), who has been a circus clown all his life. His art is among the best in Europe. The photographs try to show a clown as a person who does his best for his job, regardless of how he himself feels at the moment. He will do anything to make people laugh!

44 years old. Self-taught photographer. Married, 4 children. I have lived in my hometown of Znojmo almost all my life. In my freelance work, I focus on long-term documentation of everyday life. I prefer series to single images.
My work has been most influenced by working with people with disabilities. I focus on topics such as life with disabilities, life in the countryside, Behind the scenes of the life of Czech circuses or the life of a person and a dog.
I photograph on digital media from mobile phones to medium format.
