TITLE: Passivity
"Passivity" series offers a way of seeing passivity as a state full of meaning — personal, intimate, and often elusive. It is an invitation to contemplate what happens within us when nothing seems to happen.
These photographs were created with the intention of reflecting on the inner struggle hidden beneath the surface of silence. Each frame is a quiet observation of a human in suspension — between movement and stillness, between emotion and its suppression.

AUTHOR: Arek Akki (Poland)
The human body plays a significant role in my photography. However, nudity in my work serves merely as a backdrop for the symbols and props that construct meaning. ---------- I am interested in themes such as bodily discomfort, tense relationships with the environment, memory and recollection, the search for anonymity, loneliness, and alienation. ---------- I primarily work with monochromatic analogue techniques — medium format film and wet plate collodion. ---------- Portfolio: akki.pl ---------- Instagram: akki_monochrome
