TITLE: PROPOSAL DANCE
The photos were taken at Lake Vanajavesi in Valkeakoski, Western Finland. All the photos were captured at the same location. I cannot identify the species; it is likely some kind of osprey species. Flying insects are difficult subjects to photograph and identify, especially with a long lens. I chose a shooting location with the darkest possible background. This was to ensure that insects flying in sideways backlight would be captured relatively well by the camera's autofocus. The last photo depicts mating.

Rare one and a half year old elk brothers. The mother of these was of normal color. I saw them quickly when I was six months old.
