TITLE: Return of the Native

The U.K. has become one of the most nature depleted countries on Earth. This project documents the Rewilding initiatives across the U.K that aim to tun the tide.

I grew up in the New Forest and was fortunate to have spent time in the mountains and other 'wild' places from an early age. Motivated by a desire to share my experiences of these beautiful landscapes, I soon developed an interest in photography. My passion for the outdoor environment led to a career in outdoor education. I continued to develop my photography skills as a student of Ffotogallery and then as an MA student at the University of South Wales. Whilst completing my MA in Documentary Photography, I started work on a long term project about the U.K. National Parks (This Other Eden). I am currently working on a project about re-wilding in the U.K.
