TITLE: Sometimes it snows in April
These photos have been made in the Hautes Fagnes in Belgium. I was struck by the soft curves in the snow and the light shadows around some of the subjects. The curves seem sometimes almost human. The reeds and trees form such a beautiful contrast to the forms that, together as a series, the photos form a miniature landscape in an environment that is normally grand of its own where landscape photography is concerned.
AUTHOR: Jeroen den Uijl (Netherlands)
I am a portraiture and landscape photographer from the Netherlands. My portraiture photography specializes in minimalistic black and white photography, because in my opinion it reflects ones' character more so than color photography does. I use both natural light and flash light photography for my portraiture photography. My landscape photography is usually minimalistic in form with a lot of negative space to draw the viewer into the photograph. I use soft pastel colors mostly in combination with long exposure techniques. I strongly believe that less is often more in photography.
