TITLE: The Steelman Chronicles

This series was created over a period of four years. I am a passionate close-up photographer and have used elements of steel and aluminium to transform my ideas into images in finely tuned compositions of perspective and light. When conceptualising my images I always focus on the authenticity of the explorative creative process, merging reality and fantasy through photography alone and simple steps in post-processing. What I love most about the style is the challenge of visualising my ideas and concepts born from grounded handwork and photography. The big challenge is to find a balance between realism and surrealism so that the viewer wonders what is real and yet feels empathised and can identify with the story.

I have been working intensively with photography for about 10 years. In the course of time, I discovered my passion for the small and inconspicuous things in our world and specialized in artistic close-up photography.
