TITLE: To Live

The world suffocates—
The weight of life, and the desperate yearning for freedom,
could hang you by a single thread of helium,
like a delicate noose spun from the breath of stars.

We wander, blind and lost within ourselves,
kicking away the last patch of ground
in a space slowly drowning in silence.
Is it defiance against our confines,
or a reckless folly we dare to name wildness?

Still, we breathe against the wind,
standing tall beneath the ashen sky,
raising our instruments of execution like banners of truth.
We weep amidst the necrotic sea of life,
unflinching, unbound,
alive.
