TITLE: Written in the sand
The series contains three photographs taken in the early morning, while walking along the Aldinga beach in South Australia. These images created by the ‘nature forces’ emerged before my eyes and immediately captured my attention. Simple beauty full of delicate forms and tones like a subtle pencil drawing – written poetry in a visual way…
I have returned to this place few more times, hoping to see this beauty again, but as Heraclitus says – “No man ever steps in the same river twice”.
AUTHOR: Jan Adam Leś (Australia)
My photographic work extends over 40 years, beginning with my university studies in Kraków, Poland, where I explored the beauty of black and white photography and conducted experimental art works together with my latest brother Zbigniew with whom I formed the Micro-Macro art group exploring connections between art and science. My first solo exhibition including B&W micro-macro series was held in Kraków in 1986.
Since settling in Australia in 1992, I exhibited my works in Melbourne where I lived until 2002, and in Adelaide where I reside currently.
I'm a member of the Royal South Australian Society of Art (RSASA) and regularly participate in the RSASA members exhibitions.
