TITLE: critical point
A visit of a girl suffering from bulimia at her grandparents' house.
My name is Przemysław Kot, I was born on June 16, 1984 in Poland in the Łódź Voivodeship.
I am a self-taught photographer and a local patriot, I love Łódź, the real, the raw, dilapidated one, far from the shopping centers, where its heart beats, in the old tenement houses.
When it comes to photography, in am interested in the spiritual aspect more than talking about the 'equipment'.
photographic films. As far as my approach to photography is concerned, it is constantly changing and evolving.
At the beginning of my conscious photographic path, I was photographing a female nude for a long time. For several years now, I have been successively continuing sociological photography with an emphasis on subjective documentary, and this photo is a vivid example of this. In all these processes of change, however, things remain fundamental and constant, the heroes of my photos are always the people. Some are resting in nature, others consuming, and others are sleeping blissfully. I am resting and I’m enjoying watching people, the way they contrast and diverse. In my free time, preferably in a crowded city, I like to sit on a bench and observe the overflowing cross-section of society, I do not judge or impose anything. It is more like a form of admiration, like watching the fish in an aquarium.
