TITLE: Modernized Cactus
I captured this photo last November while heading back home from the park. The subject was not my initial focus that day, but when I suddenly saw these electric poles, I couldn't resist capturing the moment. Although they may seem ordinary to some as just electric poles on the ground, to a stranger's eyes from South Korea, this scene in Calgary, Canada, appeared quite extraordinary.
Moreover, I thought it would be really cool to capture this moment in monochrome, which is my primary focus in photography now. Despite spending a lot of time finding the right position, angle, enduring the cold temperature, and editing at the table, it was definitely worth the effort. I am now considering printing and hanging this photo on the wall in my room with a frame because I love it so much. Also, I am proud of myself for capturing this unique piece of art in the midst of daily life, away from touristy or famous places.
