TITLE: Welcome to the Hive
I have returned to Hong Kong after 8 years of absence. We lived there for two years and enjoyed it a lot. When I walked today paths on the Peak, THE HIVE was the first metaphor which stroked my mind. This place never sleeps, has one of the highest population density in the world… It is a hive, where we have our small places to stay, teeny windows to look through, everyday roles to play and negligible privacy…. On the other side - we feed on City energy and many are not able to imagine leaving the hive…. We are addicted… No judgment, just stating facts… Welcome to THE HIVE…..
AUTHOR: Irek Zyzanski (Poland)
Due to my work I have traveled and lived in various places around the word. I lived in Poland, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Dubai, China, Russia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Always with my cameras to freeze moments of time, to create anchors from "now" to the past....
During my 24 years in international corporation I have bosses od 14 nationalities and I managed teams in Europe, Asia and Middle East. Today I enjoy my time as a consultant, coach and trainer. I work with senior leaders to help them to develop their competencies and skills.
It should not be surprise that cross-cultural communication is one of my passions. I even published the book about it: "Change Your Perspective. Communication Pitfalls in International Business." The book is available on amazon or through my website (www.zyzanski.com/en/)
Photography is my another passion. I still remember excitement when in the 4th grade I have developed first time black and white photos. And I never had enough courage to show it.
Now I get to the stage of my life where I simply do not need to care any more and I want to share how I see world around me... Through the lenses of my cameras.
