TITLE: 3395 km

There was already the first small onset of winter, heavy storms, some snow, and a lot of rain. I was soaked, cycled for hours in the rain at 2 degrees with my 60kg bicycle until I couldn't feel my fingers anymore and was shaking from the cold. When I saw a scenery that I wanted to capture, I stopped, unpacked the large panoramic Linhof 617 film camera with clammy fingers, set up the tripod and took the time to take a photo with the 72mm lens. I waded barefoot through small rivers and went with my backpack to find the right place. I've seen arctic foxes, experienced horizontal blowing snow, and almost been blown off the road. For 3 month I cycled 3395 km in autumn 2023 from Austria to Iceland and back to create around 10 black and white panoramic film photos with a unique and adventurous story.
