TITLE: soon i'll be gone
While traveling the Himalayas in Tibet and Nepal, some of the most impressive sights were the gigantic glaciers. Or rather, the enormous parts that were already missing. Seeing the transformed land, that was left behind is truly awe inspiring and makes you wonder, what these mountains will look like, once all the ice is gone.
In my works i focused on the contrast of the ice and the rocky landscape that was formed by it. In my editing i tend to emphasize natural contrast and texture, giving my images a more artistic feel, almost reducing them to the look of an abstract painting. In the process i try to preserve the underlying meaning of change and human impact on nature.
