TITLE: Volcanic nighscape
Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, and is the highest in Europe. I have been photographing it for more than 25 years and it fascinates and inspires me more and more. The eruptions of recent years have featured the Central Crater and the South East Crater, the most active of the four summits. In this selection some activities with effusive and explosive fractures, from the east side towards the Valle del Bove, and so-called Strombolian explosion activities. After sunset and the time for long exposure photography, I try to capture the movement of the gases and clouds, which often seem to dance around the fire show.
