TITLE: Va, pensiero (Go, thought)

[...]Oh my homeland, so beautiful but lost,
Oh remembrance so beloved, but so painful.
Golden harp inspiring the great Poets,

Why are you so silent and abandoning yourself to tears?
Rekindle memories in our hearts,
Tell us again about our glorious past![...]

These are Giuseppe Verdi’s verses, contained in "Va, pensiero", lyric of Nabucco, have inspired me to carry on over the years the my project based on ancient Italian architectural beauties in decadence; I found them perfect to express the feeling of loss of an architectural historical heritage such as Italian, an ode to uplift and retransmit to the whole world the taste of art and beauty that has always distinguished us.

My heart is tied in a particular way to the Risorgimento, period of the unity of Italy where Italian patriotism had its
climax. With martyred pride I try to revive the beauties of our past, very often belonging to that historical period .
My palaces do not seek revenge against an occupant but against carelessness and inclement time.

My intent is to convey the ancient pride of these forgotten beauties as they were silent narcissistic entities in
looking for someone who can pass on their lost magnificence, a "chrono reporter" who is not limited to representing these environments in an exclusively documentary way but I always apply a fine art style well recognizable, aimed at enhancing the most possible emotions transmitted from a place corrupted by time.

From 2016 I travel around Italy, my country, in search of these hidden beauties, not without difficulty, as they are not easily accessible and findable.

Since 2015, he has been passionate about ancient decadent places, giving voice to these structures full of melancholy charm as if they were silent narcissistic creatures waiting for someone to express their greatness.
These places are often hidden and not easy to enter, it's not just a matter to catch the right light but even a challenge to discover them.
Creator of Forgotten Art-chitectures project, decayed places are not shot just with an usual limited documentary aspect, as many others do, but they are like fine art canvas aimed at aesthetics.
