TITLE: Black Holes

This picture was taken on top of the Galgenberg bunker in France. Built in vain after the First World War to prevent another German invasion, it was rendered obsolete by the advent of nuclear power and the threat of nuclear warfare.

In between the violence of the past and the dangers of the future stands a tiny human figure to withstand it all.
